Earth Day was founded 40 years ago by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson. And now, April 22 has become a day when countries and people all across the globe celebrate the Earth's environment and focus on developing an awareness of how we affect it.

Earth Day 2010 marks the 40th anniversary of the holiday — and the official Earth Day Campaign plans to raise more awareness than ever before as we recognize global issues this Thursday.

Earth Day 2010 is a pivotal opportunity for individuals, corporations and governments to join together and create a global green economy.

Change starts with each individual person. And change is inspired by knowledge and staying committed to live green each day of our life. Let’s all make personal commitments to sustainability and make our planet “Earth” better place to live for us and our future generations.
